🌟 Ada Schools Shines Bright at Regional Spelling Bee! 🌟
We're bursting with pride to announce that Maeby from Ada Schools clinched 2nd place in the fiercely competitive Regional Spelling Bee! 🥈🐝 Her remarkable performance was nothing short of inspiring, showcasing her dedication, intellect, and passion for language.
Competing against 37 other schools, Ada stood tall as Maeby battled her way through each round with grace and skill. While narrowly missing the opportunity to advance to the nationals, Maeby's achievement undoubtedly places Ada Schools among the top contenders in the region!
Although we don't have definitive records, we suspect this might be one of our highest finishes yet. 🌟
Maeby, your remarkable accomplishment serves as a testament to your hard work and commitment. We applaud you for your outstanding achievement and for representing Ada Schools with such distinction! 👏📚
Let's continue to celebrate our students' successes and strive for greatness in all our endeavors! 🌟🎓 #AdaProud #SpellingBeeSuccess #StudentAchievement #AdaSchoolsSuccess

Three teams from Ada Elementary traveled to the Regional Destination Imagination Tournament on Saturday in Dayton at Sinclair Community College. The Ada Bulldogs Rising Stars team (2nd graders - Rosemary Gargac, Eillie Lee, Makenna Szippl, Hazel Timpe, Abram Toomey, and Max Wile) participated at a non-competitive level designing and performing a presentation called "Making a Splash" and were praised for their creativity and use of recycled materials in their presentation. The Ada Super Pinball Dogs (3rd/2nd graders - Myles Donley, Rory McAlpine, Lucy Porter, and Harper Rigsby) competed in the "Pinball Heroes" challenge and came in 6th overall while also getting the highest score in the instant challenge portion of the competition for their level. The Ada Daring Dolphins (4th/5th graders - Joseph Gargac, Landon Long, Callum McAlpine, Ada Porter, Claire Porter, Hailee Rigsby, and Charlie Wile) chose the "Uncharted" project to compete with in which they had to plan a service project in the community and present it at the competition in a creative way. Their project was a clean-up day at the Ada War Memorial Park, and they were awarded third place medals at the competition Saturday which qualifies them to compete at the State Destination Imagination Competition in April.

On 3/1, Dr. Chirstopher D. Hoch, director of The Ohio State University Marching Band, came up to work with the Ada Band Programs! Dr. Hoch has five degrees all from OSU, including his doctorate in Music Education. The connection comes from Ada's band director, Carter Bivens, who got his bachelors in Music Education from Ohio State. During his time in undergrad, he spent five years in the marching band under the direction of Dr. Hoch.
"It is truly a full circle moment to have Dr. Hoch working with my kids in Ada. Dr. Hoch helped me aspire to be the best version of myself by holding me and everyone in the band to the highest standards. It is hard not to appreciate someone who believes you can aspire for more. The kids learned a lot in his short visit with us."
