Quick update from the Marching Band. Last night, we performed in Piqua at the OMEA State Finals, which is a select event where you have to qualify to go, by earning a superior rating at a previous event. OMEA State Finals are also harder judges, trying to give out only a certain amount of distinctions to deserving bands. For the second time in the marching band program's history, we earned an overall rating of I, Superior at OMEA State Finals. Achieved only one other time in 2021, the kids were extremely proud of this achievement, many crying. I have asked for a lot of their time this year with a more difficult show, and it was pretty cool to see it payoff. Thank you to the many coaches, club leaders, and other organizations that have been great in sharing their time with our heavily involved kids.
