Dear Ada High School Community,
As we embark on another exciting school year at Ada Middle and High School, I want to extend a warm welcome to all our students, families, and staff. It is a privilege to serve as your principal, and I am thrilled to see the energy and enthusiasm that comes with the start of a new school year.
This year, we are fortunate to welcome several outstanding new staff members to our team. I am confident that they will contribute greatly to the success of our students and the continued excellence of our school.
First, I am pleased to introduce Mr. Ezra Deitering, who will be teaching 7th grade English Language Arts. Mr. Deitering is a Bluffton University graduate who completed his student teaching right here at Ada High School last fall, where he did an outstanding job. In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Deitering will be coaching boys soccer and boys baseball. We are excited to have him join our Bulldog family!
We also welcome Mr. Colton Montgomery, who will be teaching high school social studies, including courses in personal finance and World History. Mr. Montgomery comes highly recommended and is eager to start his teaching career with us. He is all in for Ada High School and will be coaching football and track. His passion for education and athletics will undoubtedly inspire our students both in the classroom and on the field.
Another valuable addition to our team is Mrs. Blue Arbuthnot, who will serve as our new middle school guidance counselor and student support coordinator. Mrs. Arbuthnot earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and her graduate degree from The Ohio State University. She is deeply committed to supporting our students throughout their educational journey, and we are excited to see the positive impact she will make.
One of the major highlights of the 2024-2025 school year is the introduction of a Driving School at Ada High School. We believe this program will be a valuable resource for our students and their families. Mr. Jack Daniels will be leading the program as our driving instructor, and Mrs. Miranda Shepherd will be the program coordinator. This initiative represents our commitment to providing practical and essential life skills to our students.
As we look ahead, I am extremely proud of our community, our families, our staff, and our students. Together, we have created a supportive and vibrant environment where our students can thrive. My wife, Brittany, and I are eagerly anticipating a year filled with Bulldog pride, learning, and memorable experiences.
Here’s to a fantastic school year & Go BULLDOGS!
