Congratulations to Kendal took 1st place in the Kenton Elks Patriotism Essay Contest! Out of 900 total essays in the Northeast District competition, Kendal placed 6th overall.

Also congratulations to Kendal who also won the Ada V.F.W. Patriot's Pen essay competition and Grace Allison who took second and Megan Light who was third.

DRESS CODE REGULATIONS: Students may not wear shorts that are extremely tight (such as bicycle shorts) except in gym class. The bottom hem line on student’s shorts or shirt must extend to the mid-point of the thigh (to finger tips with hands at side). Also, students may not wear garments styled to expose any part of the shoulder, the midriff or chest. No mesh tops, tank tops, sheer clothing, muscle shirts or sleeveless shirts with sleeves cut out will be allowed. Logos must be in good taste and void of obscenities (either gestures or visual). Shirts with tobacco, drug, sexual innuendo, alcohol advertisement, gang insignia, cult and/or satanic images will not be allowed.

REMINDER FOR STUDENT WORKERS: Please do NOT use the staff bathroom when making copies in the Junior High workroom.

REMINDER TO PAY SCHOOL FEES: If school fees are not paid in full, you will not receive a grade card at the end of the year. Please stop in the high school office to pay fees.

BOYS & GIRLS FALL GOLF: Signup sheet for high school golf team is in high school office.

SCIENCE DEPARTMENT: For any student who plans to take Advanced Chemistry next year. There will be a mandatory meeting at 12:45 on Friday in Mr Lusk’s room.
For any student who plans to take Physics next year. There will be a mandatory meeting at 12:45 on Thursday in Mr. Lusk’s room.
All students who have registered for these courses must attend their appropriate meeting.

VOLLEYBALL: Any girls in grades 6-11 planning on attending volleyball camp please turn in papers to Miss Steiner or Mrs. Gossard by Wednesday, May 18th.

ALL LIBRARY BOOKS NEED TO BE RETURNED THIS WEEK. This includes any copies of borrowed Book Club titles. In addition, there will be no new check-outs through the end of the year. Overdue notices will be posted on the library windows beginning TODAY. See Mrs. Smith with any questions.

BACCALAUREATE SERVICE: Thursday, May 19th at 7:00 pm at the ONU Chapel. Seniors: We need your senior picture and baby pictures of everyone for a slide show if you want your pictures to be a part of the slide show. Please email pictures to Angela Simon at rsimon@centurylink.net immediately.

LOST AND FOUND TABLE: Please stop by the high school office and check out the Lost & Found table. Anything left on the table will be given to Restore after Thursday, May 26th.
