Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the Ada Exempted Village School District website!  We are pleased you have taken the time to visit the site where you will find information pertaining to students and staff Aspiring to Excel in All Areas of the School Experience.  We strive to be one of Ohio’s premier school districts and recognize we owe much to our caring community and those who support our efforts.  We thank our community for believing in us and supporting the great work we do for the children of this marvelous place called Ada.

The school year report card for 2013-2014 reflects we have had tremendous success academically across content areas that were tested in grades 3-8, 10 and 11.  Under the Achievement component, we made an “A” by having met 95.8% (23/24) of our indicators.  The areas tested as indicators included reading, writing, mathematics, social studies and science.  For many years we have made steady, incremental progress on our school report card, reflecting system’s progress.  In the spring of this past school year we were listed in US News and World Report as being one of “America’s Best High Schools”.

In addition to academic programs and competitions, we have multiple opportunities for students to participate and excel in art, athletics, drama, and music.  For a small school, we offer numerous activity choices for boys and girls.  Our students are acknowledged for their successes locally, regionally, statewide and at the international level.

As the 2014-2015 school year unfolds, we will be completing the District Accreditation Review Process through AdvancED.  In recognition of leadership in education, our school system was first accredited in 2010. In this five-year review, the school district will, once again, complete a process of self-evaluation and improvement, aligned to the Ohio Improvement Process (OIP).  Our overall aim is to be the best we can be on behalf of the students we serve, continuing the tradition of excellence in Ada Schools.

As the Superintendent of Ada Schools, I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the Ada community!

Go Bulldogs!
